The Llanelli We Want

An event described as 'a day of conversation' brought together 75 local people and organisations to discuss a vision for the Llanelli they want to live in.

Inspired by the Welsh Government's national conversation around, 'The Wales We Want', the community came together to share ideas about how they can help to create a stronger, more vibrant town.

The event, held on 7 July 2014 at Llanelli Library, was open to all, and brought together speakers, including the Minister for Communities and Tackling Poverty, Jeff Cuthbert AM, and a workshop for the community to work together, share their thoughts and come up with ideas to shape a stronger community. The event produced a huge amount of information, which will now be turned into action plans designed to bring about real change for the community.
